Leuchorrhea

Leuchorrhea or white discharge is a common complaint among women.

First it should be remembered that white discharge may not be pathological always.
Physiological Leuchorrhea can be seen in conditions like:
-Just before periods
-Around the time of ovulation
-During pregnancy
-During intercourse or with it's thought etc.
Usually physiological leuchorrhea will not have any smell or color.
It will be like watery secretion without staining inner wear.
Sedentary lifestyle, constipation etc can also lead to leuchorrhea.

If white discharge presents with symptoms like:
-Foul smell
-With altered color like curdy white, yellow, green etc
-Itching presents
-Any associated genital lesions are seen
That can be considered as pathological and needs detailed evaluation.
